Gem Magazine January issue: Golden opinions

“I have bought
Golden opinions from all sorts of people.”

– William Shakespeare Macbeth, Act 1, Scene 7

The first Gem Magazine of the year 2022 is about opinions. About assumptions we people tend to make.

As master Shakespeare said it; nowadays it’s about buying golden opinions of from the media, of from the news and of from the social media. The list goes on…

Then we believe them and make them our truths, dissmissing every other opinion along the way.

The trouble is, however, that one person believes in an opinion, then the other person believes in an opinion with the same issue. Opinions of the same thing clashing is what’s going to happen.

We should regard the opinions of the opinions of one person. Not the full truth of the Universe. Just one opinion. Are you being loud with your own opinions? Now I’m going through them..surely those are there, only people are just being nice around.

Now, assumptions are quite funny actually!

Personally, people just bomb you with assuming stuff. See, they have made Your Story up, like a dream, in their minds and then assume that it’s correct. This has happened to me thirteen times out of twelve. As I said, it is much easier just to say ‘yes, you’re (absolutely) right.’. And then shake your head later.

GEM Bookshelf: A Woman Makes A Plan, Maye Musk

“When I was spending my July holidays in the Kalahari Desert as a child, I didn’t imagine I would be doing high fashion in America in my 70s. #AWomanMakesAPlan Yet your life changes, and you need to make another plan. Aim for happiness ⁦@IMGmodels#ItsGreatToBe71

Maye was a guest on a podcast by Vishen (The Mindvalley podcast with Vishen) and he called her a force to be reckon with. I could not agree more. Just couldn’t.

As getting to know her story and read the book, you cannot help but wonder HOW on earth did she manage that? For example, I now think about situations like: ‘How would Maye do this?’

In short (well you really need to get to know the story, so far), her mother and father were Canadians, where her father bought a plane. Then they moved to South-Africa, and with five kids explored the world, so to say. As Maye and her twin sister Kaye were so little, they often didn’t participate in the travels. Maye’s father searched for lost cities.

Except for the Kalahari desert trip they all went. The family spent weeks sleeping outside with lions and hyenas coming close to the camp.

That right there is why Maye and all her children (Kimbal, Tosca and Elon) are so fearless. Because Maye’s parents were, and when you grow up in a family like that…Well… Their motto was and is: “Living dangerously–carefully.”

“We never lit a fire and ate only canned food and bread. Sleep was limited, because at night, the cattle kept trying to lick our faces or steal our blankets. Perhaps that’s why it never bothered me to share a small apartment with my children.” (About the experiences in the Kalahari Desert)

“At fifteen, I had been told I’d be done by eighteen, and at seventy-one, I’m the biggest I’ve ever been. What I’ve learned is that you can always find a way. You can always make another plan. Of course, it took time for me to learn, and I’m still learning!” (Maye about modelling)

Going back to Canada, the family had barely nothing. Tosca (15) had sold pretty much everything, while Maye was out of town. Tosca was heading to Canada because Elon was already there. Living from a pay check to a pay check, eating lots of peanut butter sandwiches and bean soups to survive (Maye herself is a dietitian/nutritionist and Kimbal of course became a chef). This ‘roughing it’ was nothing new though. Elon said he lived a dollar per day on a podcast with Neil deGrasse Tyson.

What a first Gem book of the year to kick-start 2022 with! O.m.g. Now, how would Maye spend 2022? Off to find out.

GEM Kitchen: Dinner example

Packed with vegetables (=hello vitamins), this full plate will keep a hunger away (for 2,3,4,5 hrs I don’t know how often you need to eat!).

If you absolutely cannot have potatoes, then no one is forcing you not to get creative. Change them to rice f.e. Et voila!

Keeping ingredients as organic as possible is the best for..well you.

Cucumbers

Carrots

Rice noodle salad: glass rice noodles,(biodynamic) lettuce, sweet pepper, cucumber, lemon, vegan mustard sauce, soy sauce, olive oil, a pinch of cayenne pepper…this can infact be full of flavour, because it’s not going to be eaten as such. So be generous in the use of everything but the cayenne.

Potatoes, skins off (after boiling ofc, to keep more nutrients in)

Vegan sausages, however you’ll like to eat them. Here cut up perhaps 1st 1/4 and then half. Mix with potatoes.

Again add some veggie mustard sauce+lemon on top, hit for the noodle salad.

Rosemary: goes well especially with the potato-sausage one, so I’d recommend focusing on that!

GEM MAGAZINE December; Mind movies

Mind movies is one of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s tools, especially for his clients. It’s energy. Manifesting. Focusing on a subject.

The root chakra in men is fairly common. As it is (might I note: I believe) fueled by their most influenced hormone, testosterone. Whether men recognise it or not. Usually not, for knowing this type of stuff is not common.. as anybody would though! Well now you do, don’t you.

Just yesterday the writer witnessed again a super-testosterone in action, when a person dashed onto a crossing without any(!) safety nor to himself or to the poor drivers, who barely stopped, for it’s a slipping slide outside.

As for women, commonly, the heart chakra (super-emotionality) is dominant, as well as estrogen. And like with the testosterone, women are not familiar with this. Now, ok. There’re women, who I’ve met, who are more fierce (aka a million miles away from letting the emotionality take the lead).

Crying. Being constantly upset. Yeap.

Then there’re men, who are not only lead by the root. One comes to mind ASAP. It’s kind of funny how this is supposed to be about Dispenza, but Jay Shetty is one. Lol.

Now you can focus and make your own mind movies wherever you are and what ever time it is. Take time to recognise your dominant chakras. Visualise them all in sync. The December issue was fairly medical, I apologise.

GEM BOOKSHELF: Becoming supernatural, Dr. Joe Dispenza

In 1986 Dispenza got into a bicycle/car collading accident, where six of his spinal vertebraes took a hit. In a hospital, wasn’t able to move, his doctors suggested a surgery and said that he’ll never walk again. Although that kind of surgery was going to be even worse healing-wise, so he decided not to go through with it.

That’s when he developed his theory of the mind-body connection. The first 6,5 weeks was ‘a rookie face’, where he lost focus in going through each vertebrae for 3 hours a day, and had to start all over again.

After 10 weeks he was walking again, and after 12 weeks back to training.

There’s one more person on my top 10 list, who after such a bad occasion, really was dedicated to focusing on healing, and taking notes for a real change, and going forward to their dreams r i g h t n o w.

And that’s Kimbal Musk.

GEM BOOKSHELF: Women who run with the wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Born in 1945, and as well as an author, but also a Jungian psychoanalyst. (Side note: on Frasier btw, Frasier is a Freudian and Niles is a Jungian).

The book (1992) remained on New York Times Bestseller – list for 145 weeks. I’ve had a copy of this book ~7 years now, and as it has about 508 pages, so this’ll be somewhat short. To actually embody the life, well.. surely you can begin to read about it, but living is more than reading, right?

Here’s couple of highlights:

☆ “When we assert intuition, we are therefore like the starry night: we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes.”

“It is also a good idea for women to count their ages, not by years, but by battle scars. ‘How old are you?’ people sometimes ask me. ‘I am seventeen battle scars old,’ I say. Usually people don’t flinch, and rather happily begin to count up their own battle scar ages accordingly.”

Tesla Model Y☆

The newest Tesla model -test drive. Beyond excited! Booked this drive weeks ago. On a Sunday it’s still couple more days to go.

This is a rough translation of the post on TCF (Tesla Club Finland):

‘Went to test drive Tesla Model Y among others in Kuopio. In the group there’s more than more of technical knowledge, so I’m not going to even try. Most of the time since driving school (17yrs ago) I’ve driven manual Volvos, so Tesla’s automatic Plus the tablet felt kind of like you would’ve been suddenly driving a sportscar after a tractor. The first 10min the attitude was “o.m.g!”, but after that the driving started to even flow. Once I knew how the tablet worked and how the gears are shifted..how to brake etc. It was an experience so to say! As for myself, I’m aiming for owning a Model S, so then might even have the courage to say, that in comparison Model Y felt bigger, and in fact it is.’

Moving on to Actual legit information by insideevs.com:

MotorWeek gives us a very brief history of Tesla and then moves on to the Model Y. It’s impressed with the car’s range, and it says the touch screen takes a bit of time to get used to, but it handles everything just fine once you’re acquainted. The publication admits, however, that it has a hard time getting used to not having a traditional dashboard display. And, it’s clear that Tesla still needs to put more emphasis on fit and finish.

Overall, MotorWeek is thoroughly impressed with the Model Y’s performance. Its acceleration takes them by surprise, and it tackles the publication’s slalom course with ease. Check out the short video for all the details.”

After that drive I needed a drink. The power behind the wheel is tangible and the steerage is like air. Being an EV there’s barely no sound. All in all, it was a beautiful car — dark exterior meeting with light interior.

Gem Magazine: November; Leaning into fear

Too afraid even to focus on this, on Gem. I’d say great for November issue, but absolutely paralysed with fear in real life.

November 1st: scared as f***. It’s the unknown again, that is the most scary. (11am)

Angry as hell. But powerless. A great combo; being powerlessly angry. (2pm)

Do you remember that one Tuesday on living 5am.s for a week -post? In where I almost ruined the 5am week for getting shocking (x 5) news. Well, right at the start of November nevertheless! I had a meeting with the person who handles this, the one who sues me and one other person to court. Yep check ✔

Mind you now, that was just the 1st, it’s going to get a lot worse from there on.

~Elon Musk – failure: “Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough.”~

November 2nd. A call – scareness level: 80%. It’s quite fine 1min in.

☆Chakra most affected for self esteem: ROOT

Chakras (or energy centers) are a crucial part of yoga, ayurveda and other old medical fields. Plus the future Bookshelf book: Dr. Joe Dispenza – he calls them more like energy centers.

Google: ‘Which chakra is blocked by stress and panic attacks?

The root chakra is connected to the adrenal medulla, the inner part of the adrenal gland that’s involved in the fight-or-flight response. “Feeling unsafe and in fear for your life… will shut down the root chakra, blocking any movement of energy from the root chakra through the body.’

Noah is afraid of things like any kid is. Last summer he hung on to me for dear life for number of reasons: from scary sounds of working trucks far away to being deadly afraid of a gas station. All the noise of it; people, cars, motorcycles etc.

It’s quite energy draining to carry a child all the while confirming them. Even though things are scary, that’s how you know which direction to go. Back to safety or to the fear? (To the fear!) For the gas station part, we went to it, but quite soon focused his interest on trucks and busses. That did the trick!

There was a pothole on the ground, which his grandpa was telling him not to drive (a little moped) into. It got filled. So it’s now a steady ground. That doesn’t matter to Noah, every time he purpously stops at the filled pothole. And I thought, that.. that thought process is exactly right, if a downhill suddenly occurs then better to stop there and learn.

I’ve couple of friends who I admire (along with the rest) for their courage. One moved all across the globe while didn’t know anybody, and has built a life there. Other is just letting the work take the lead, without a family of their own. Both cases show an absolute strength and willpower.

November 9th: women we are more run by hormones than men are. So 9th is one of those “should be napping my ass off” -days for me. 100%.

To actually leave my cocoon by 8am, knowing that today’s going to be 120% on the go, is a no no. And felt kind of victorious in the late evening when got back to my cocoon again, tired af + wiped.

From that day I’m still cooperating from. It was exactly heaven and hell. Or hell and heaven, because the hell part was first. And I thought thank the lord for having bad news first and then the good news!

After this I couldn’t even remember the 1st day and the law-stuff. Now, I’m trying to explain this as non-medically as I can. In DNA there’s one protein, that can tell pretty much your future. Your future illnesses etc. I went to see that doctor who specialises in genes.

Wow okay, struck down..! Understanding a bit how the DNA molecule works. The doctor said that some people doesn’t even want to know this stuff, but hey of course it is I, Jojo. So they’ll take it, normally from a blood sample, and send it to Germany. In there is a lab that specialises in these DNA bits. Yeah, that was kind of shocking. It was the hell part.

The heaven part was the newest Tesla.💫

What do you do today that’s scary?

GEM MEDICAL: Blood pressure

Hey you guys and welcome to a new (although planned couple months ago) segment, which is not close to the writer’s field, but on it! I’ll keep this fairly simple. Or at least try to. If weird words occur, then you can blame it on the writer for translation missteps.

• Chakra affected: the heart

The ‘normal’ vein can be counted: 24 = 16 in liquid (blood) resistance.

atherosclerosis = a disease that occurs when plaque is building up inside the arteries + in them are built pathological changes
~> higher workforce for the heart

Systolic pressure – the highest pressure in arteries during a beat of the heart

Diastolic pressure – their lowest pressure

A higher blood pressure (it varies from 140/90 mmHg – 160/95 mmHg ~> mercury millimeter)

Hypertension = straines the heart + blood vessels. Risk of getting f.e a stroke or an eye hemorrhage. Worsening together with atherosclerosis.

! At-home -blood pressure (RR) -measurement (automatic) is made easy.

Fyi or remembering: in maternity care the blood pressure measurements are more than familiar.

✔Google recommendations for spiritual (yeah s p i r i t u a l.) things to lower RR:

For example •reiki and saying a •prayer. Now, ok. They just might mean slowing down, a meditation or just focusing on breathing.

Medication f.e:

– Beta blockers: quiets down the sympathetic nervous system’s effect on and to the heart, lowers the heart beat

– Diuretics: volumes up the urinary excretion, lowers blood capacity

healthy lifestyle:
+ a smoke-free life
+ a regular exercise
+ nutrition
+ low sodium intake
